NOTICE OF ELECTIONS

The Republican and Democratic political parties will hold primary elections on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Required runoffs will be held Tuesday, June 26. Any person wishing to register to vote in the primary and runoff elections must do so no later than Saturday, May 12.

At 1:00 p.m. on Election Day the County Election Commission will begin its examination of the absentee ballot return envelopes at the county council conference room at 201 Johnston Street, St. George, SC 29477. On Thursday, June 14, at 10:00 a.m., the County Board of Canvassers will hold a hearing to determine the validity of all provisional ballots cast in this election. This hearing will be held at the council chambers at 201 Johnston Street, St. George, SC 29477 .
